Refugees in Minnesota

A two-page infographic detailing how refugees strengthen our economy and community. The project was a joint collaboration with background stories and used as outreach and educational material for five resettlement agencies in Minnesota working together in a “Community of Practice (COP)” facilitated by Minnesota’s Resettlement Programs Office (RPO).

Below shows two of the original sketches. I wasn’t satisfied with the original information design (left) that presents the graphic almost like a marketing tool. To create a more engaging visual and with more research about current refugee programs and successes, I opt to create a scene of the local community in which personal stories and crucial information are shown.

Additional social media assets were created to share key messaging about the topic.
