“Trompe l’oeil” means “to trick the eye” in french. It is also an art technique in which things are painted in a way that makes them look like real objects.
Painted with gouache, I dedicated this piece to my favorite drink and it’s rich history and relationship with people.
This piece took more than 80 hours to complete…so long that my tea molded…Take a look at how I settled on the final composition:
